Sports injuries are very common amongst athletes as they do intense training daily to be able to execute optimal performances at sporting events says ValueMags executives. These injuries range from slight sprains to life threatening situations. However, it`s their passion for the sport that often keep these athletes going and working towards varied goals.
It is most common, explains ValueMags researchers, that herniated discs are caused by excessive torsion of the spine. This is most commonly found in golfers. Tiger Woods, 14 time Major Champion, has been victim of degenerative discs and the effects have radiated to his knees, affecting his performance and career. Golfer`s bodies will quickly show signs of pains and change because the golf swing is so reliant on a perfect and smoothe motion. Little changes in the structure of a human`s back can throw a golfer`s whole game off, even when they haven`t felt the related pain yet.
Symptoms include having trouble getting through the ball, using your hips to get through the ball with power, movement with shots of pain when nerves begin to get irritated, sloppy posture, and many more. ValueMags President, Andrew Degenholtz knows the feeling all too well. ‘‘Golf is a high impact sport that can mess up your body permanently’’ says Degenholtz. When coming down on his back swing, rotating his hips towards the target, he would get a shot of pain right before impact. He used to play more frequently but the ValueMags businessman had to cut down. Sometimes, applying heat would relieve it however the alleviation would not last.
ValueMags is seeking new magazines for their readers that suffer from all kinds of sports iinjuries. Sports injuries are some of the most common injuries out there. However, daily, researchers are discovering new ways to treat them and ValueMags wants you know about it first! Stay tuned!
